Welcome! LCSims (short for Left Coast Simulations) produces Terrain Enhancement products for use with Flight Simulator X, by Microsoft.

The products offered by LCSims provide more than just high resolution mesh, that's why the term Terrain Enhancement is used. In addition to mesh, each state product provides for an accurately placed airport area, laid out in a manner that more closely resembles the real world, placed at a corrected elevation if necessary and finally blended into the surrounding area.

Please look around the site using the buttons on the left side of each page. The FAQ page will answer most questions related to the work involved and the effort put into making a quality release. It will highlight the differences between a LCS product and those from other mesh-only vendors.

The Products page will list the available packages for sale, along with a road map of where we will be working. Each state product has it's own page showcasing some of the work that transforms boring default or even mesh-only product airports into a more true to life airport layout.

The WIP page will be used to preview the next state's development as time allows.

The web site design is meant to be simple and uncomplicated. LCSims operates what can best be referred to as a "No Bravo Sierra" zone surrounding the products offered. There are cropped images, but no special editing. Here you will find straight forward information, without any of the hype. Addon mesh won't transform your flight simming experience from dull to exciting, it won't cure whopping cough or end droughts. But when developed as part of a program that is simple, but effective, mesh can become true Terrain Enhancement. And that Terrain Enhancement added to the rest of the pieces of the puzzle will allow the flight simming experience to become more satisfying.

In keeping with the No BS approach, there is a button that takes you to the page known as "Full Disclosure". Here we try to be open and upfront with any potential customers by listing and illustrating any known problems with the product(s). There should be no "gotchas" after the purchase. Any business should focus first and foremost on having satisfied, repeat customers. At LCSims, that's goal #1.
